Welcome to TerangaMath, an initiative born from the fusion of Senegalese hospitality and a passion for mathematics. Rooted in the central principle of ‘Teranga’ – a Wolof word symbolizing Senegalese hospitality – our association aims to redefine how mathematics is perceived and experienced.
At TerangaMath, we firmly believe that mathematics is not confined to classrooms. It is an integral part of our daily lives, the nature around us, and every decision we make. Our mission is to invite everyone to explore mathematics in a more intuitive, playful, and, above all, welcoming way.
Our approach focuses on hands-on activities, interactive workshops, after-school clubs, conferences, and open discussions, allowing participants of all ages to discover the fascinating world of mathematics beyond the beaten path. The association also plays a crucial role in identifying top talent across Senegal, starting from middle and high school, and preparing them for international mathematics competitions.
